ABOUT LIFT THE BAN…..

We have also joined the Lift The Ban campaign - a coalition of organisations, headed by Refugee Action, calling for the right to work to be afforded to people seeking asylum. Due to the government’s current policy, people seeking asylum are banned from working and can often wait years for a decision on their asylum claim. While they wait, they are provided with only £5.39 a day to live on. We believe this is oppressive, and have joined the campaign alongside other charities, faith groups, companies and unions to fight to end this draconian policy. https://www.refugee-action.org.uk/lift-the-ban/
